Sprayer/ Finisher
- Part-time: 10-30h a week
- £11.00-£13.00 per hour DOE
Tompkins are an established manufacturer of bespoke joinery products, based in Daventry. Founded over 40 years ago, we have worked with most prestigious clients and businesses across the country.
We are currently looking for a part-time, skilled spray technician to finish high-end external and internal joinery. We are looking to further develop our spray shop which would give you a great opportunity to grow and take charge of your workspace.
The position is based at Drayton Fields Industrial Estate, Daventry. You will have to organise your own transport, however, there is free onsite parking.
Requirements:
- Suitably Qualified
- 2 years’ experience minimum
Main Duties:
- Sanding and preparing wood
- Spraying
- Applying stain
- Mixing paints
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment and supplies
- Quality control prior to customer collection/delivery
This job at times might require manual labour, therefore we would advise that applicants are physically fit.
Tompkins runs a very busy workshop and have multiple orders as once. Therefore, we might ask you to be flexible and help around other areas of business.

Joiner

Joinery Installer/ fitter

We are currently looking for an independent, hands-on, and optimistic individual to join our team. As the face of the business, you will be representing Tompkins’ brand therefore should have professional manner with can do attitude.
The offices are based at Drayton Fields Industrial Estate, Daventry with parking available.
Tompkins offers fitting and installing services around the country therefore you will be required to travel on-sites in the Northamptonshire and surrounding counties.
Occasionally you may be required to use your own vehicle- milage of which will be paid for at standard business rates.

- General knowledge of on-site health & safety
Main Duties:
As an installer/fitter of bespoke joinery, there is no two jobs that are the same.
- Using and maintaining tools
- Assembling joinery to be fitted on site
- Planning workloads
- Liaising with site lead
