Jack Wins Northamptonshire Business Award!
Our 22 year old apprentice Jack was nominated for worker of the year in the Northamptonshire business awards competition for 2014.
Having recently completed his Diploma and NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery and currently undertaking his Level 3 in Advanced Joinery Jack has shown real commitment and a determination to improve himself and in turn our business by providing a fantastic service to our customers.
Earlier in 2014 our paint sprayer relocated leaving us in a difficult position with orders to complete for large profile clients, deadlines were at risk. Jack was approached with regards to shadowing our then sprayer to learn the basic skills. Without hesitation Jack agreed, viewing it as a opportunity to learn a new skill. Rising to the challenge Jack stepped up to the mark and delivered the remainder of the order to the highest possible standard.
For these reasons our operations director Colin Ballinger nominated Jack for this award and on the 12th December at the awards ceremony Jack achieved the honor of being awarded worker of the year.
All of the staff at Tompkins would like to congratulate Jack on this achievement!
